I began my career in New York at Ladenburg Thalmann in Retail Asset Management with a cashflow specific Ideology. Now based in San Diego, CA. with my wife Betsey and our son and daughter, my passion for family led to my specialization of asset allocation to transgenerational wealth transfer. My goal for each client is guide their financial decisions so that they can live their life fully knowing their family will be well taken care of.

Helping people is what drives me, I am constantly inspired by my clients, ordinary people in life who have extraordinary stories! My career in the Financial Industry began in 1990 and is rooted in the relationships I have built with clients. Our casual, and at times deep conversations are not only the best part of the job but allow me to best serve them and ensure we are providing what they need.
Family is my passion! Enjoying life with our five children and fifteen grandchildren is my “why” to financial freedom! I want my clients to make the best financial plans, so they do not have to wait for retirement to get the most out of life. But I also understand the challenges of caring for a grandchild or an aging parent, as well as dealing with an unexpected death. These life experiences along with my financial experience give me a unique perspective to helping clients navigate through their own journey.

My beautiful wife Lindsay and I both had the privilege of growing up here on the Central Coast and believe there is no better place on earth to raise a family! With two small children, we understand the constantly changing economic challenges facing young families today. My passion is to work with my clients to develop strategic financial plans, preparing them not only for milestones in life’ but for the unexpected occurrences along the way. With proper planning, we cannot always predict what the future holds but we can be better prepared if investment and savings plans are in place.
With my background as an Internal Auditor, Information System Analyst and Accounting Manager as well as a former graduate from Texas A&M University, I bring a unique perspective of business analysis from an internal and external perspective. As an avid foodie and a love for travel, I understand the balance of saving for the future while still enjoying life’s adventures.

What I love about being in the Financial Industry is the continual process of learning to assist my clients and co-workers. Jamie Chafin is a native of Charleston, West Virginia and a graduate of the University of Virginia. Mr. Chafin is a 38 year Veteran of the securities industry beginning his sales career as a commercial Real Estate Broker. He then transferred with EF Hutton in 1985 to La Jolla, CA. For nearly 2 decades in DelMar, CA. Mr. Chafin was employed by A.G. Edwards and a partner at Stone & Youngberg (a San Francisco based municipal bond house). For the last 11 years + Jamie has been affiliated with Ameriprise Financial in San Diego specializing in Fixed income and individual equity securities. Jamie cherishes his 30+ year relationships with his clients and the many experiences that they have shared. Jamie is a widower with 2 stepchildren and lives in Encinitas, CA. with his little 11 ½ year dog “Harley”

I’ve spent over 40 years in the financial services industry, and have found helping people realize dreams, and reach financial independence extremely satisfying. The industry has changed tremendously since the 1970’s and regardless of the many new ways developed to access investment products, structuring a long-term financial plan requires organization, understanding, patience, and discipline. It is very gratifying to help people develop these attributes and reach a comfortable financial future an a less stressful life.
I began my career specializing in option trading when Bache & Co in Denver. My wife, Gayle and I have 3 children and 7 grandchildren, and are fortunate enough to have 9 of the 10 near us in Denver. We very much look forward to busy weekends of recitals, games, and matches and try when possible, to take full advantage of all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer.

I moved to Colorado from New Jersey back in 1986 and have been married to my wonderful husband, Sam for 28 years. We enjoy watching our favorite sports teams and love music. We often see live concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. I’ve met so many people that have gone to Red Rocks because it was something on their bucket list. It’s a blessing to see live music in such a beautiful venue as often as we can.
